Kadhalikka Neramillai Review
This is the story of two ambitious professionals who have completely different ideas about relationships and commitment. But the play of time and fate brings them together. The film presents a modern perspective on relationships and parenting through a brilliant story. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi has turned this film into a light-hearted entertaining experience that discusses topics prevalent in the society like single parents, same-sex marriage, one night stands, breakups and short-term relationships. He has presented the two generations’ perspectives on social stereotypes in perfect balance.
The combination of strong screenwriting and well-timed emotions keeps the audience completely engaged. The excellent casting of the film was also highly appreciated. Nithya Menen brought her character to life, it seemed as if the role was written just for her. Ravi Mohan also played his role charmingly with Nitya. Lal, Vinay Rai, Yogi Babu, Vinothini Vaidyanathan, TJ Bhanu, Mano, Rohan, and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan also gave life to their respective characters.
With colorful cinematography by Gavmik U Eri and precise editing by Lawrence Kishore, A. R. Rahman’s music and background score made the film a great experience. This film is a perfect choice to spend time with light-hearted fun and redefinition of relationships.
From a viewer’s point of view, after a long time we got to see a film which presented emotions as well as music beautifully. This film was completely different from those cliche action films, where the hero fights with 1,000 goons and not a single bullet hits him. This was a refreshing offering.
However, the story of the film may make it a bit uncomfortable to watch with the family. It is best watched alone or with a close companion. The comedy scenes are bold and funny. Also, the songs and background music of the film are so amazing that they have become a part of the audience’s playlist.
Ravi Mohan’s acting was very strong in this film. This could be a sign of his return. At the same time, Nithya Menen once again proved why she is considered such a talented actress. Overall, Kadhalikka Neramillai offers a fresh perspective on relationships and provides entertainment worth watching.
