Story

Lalasa, a teenage girl who lives in a slum and is a polytechnic student, is confined to her own little world. He has no knowledge about the outside world. Due to her innocence and inexperience, she gets attracted towards two men, Kamal and Saras, who are much older than her.

The film tries to show through Lalasa how it can be difficult to differentiate between love and attraction in adolescence. This story is an eye-opening lesson for the youth, who are often unable to understand their emotions properly.

This journey of Lalasa not only brings out the complexities of her life, but also highlights those aspects of society where children at a young age take wrong decisions in the absence of proper guidance. In the film, Lalasa’s struggle, her innocence and her journey towards maturity have been presented in a very touching and sensitive manner.

This story gives a strong message to teenagers and their parents about how important it is to have the right guidance in understanding and handling emotions.

Movie Review

Had the opportunity to watch the movie “Don’t Love” yesterday at Shanti Theatre, where the theater was not completely full, probably due to the change in weather. However, the movie was good, and the story was a bit slow, moving at its own pace.

The film proved successful on many fronts. The music and cinematography were really good, as far as I expected. The film was shot in and around Hyderabad, and had a raw, but beautiful charm. The lead actress’ performance was praised, as she brings her character to life.

Anurag Reddy also performed well in the raw role and is expected to get huge success in the future, especially in the Telugu film industry. Since it is a low-budget film, many scenes looked cheap and a Jugaad mentality was seen everywhere in the film. Got it. However, this deficiency was not lost on the editing and music departments.

Another reviewer in his review stated that the film depicts the truth of the life of children coming from a slum and how modern lifestyle and technologies impact them, the film presents the issue in a good way.

At the beginning of the film, Lalasa enrolls in Polytechnic College, and feels inferior to other students in college life. Her story then changes when she becomes attracted between Kamal and Saras, who is much older than her. In the film, she showed how an innocent girl struggles with her emotional conflicts between these two men and gets trapped in a violent end.

Overall, this film offers a good story, which forces us to delve into deep thoughts, and it is recommended to watch this low-budget film.
